This is what all those infallible-male-protagonist, "epic"-deicide-pulp novels think they are. It's insanely orientalist - true - but it has a strong philosophical grounding and the prose is very good.
It's an excellent novel in its own right, and I completely understand why it has so many diaspora-novel imitators. It's multi - lay...
