This is what all those infallible-male-protagonist, "epic"-deicide-pulp novels think they are. It's insanely orientalist - true - but it has a strong philosophical grounding and the prose is very good.

Like his other collections, it's got a fable-like vibe and it's very Americana, because obviously, it's about American colonialism. My favorites were Ylla and And The Moon Be Still As Bright.
